Dog Walking

For friendly, shy, anxious, or reactive dogs

I provide custom solo walks for all kinds of dogs. Even dogs with a bite history can be accepted on a case-by-case basis. I especially encourage folks with pit bulls and other misunderstood breeds to contact me.

Customized to your dog’s needs

I start at your home with your dog and your guidance. Whether your dog goes for a brisk walk, a slow mosey, or a sniff around, I provide the exercise and enrichment your dog needs. For special concerns, like leash or dog reactivity, I pay extra special attention to our surroundings and avoid coming near other dogs. I am ready with positive reinforcement techniques for any surprise interactions. Whatever your concern, I am happy to follow your guidance to make your dog’s walk the happiest and safest possible.

I would like to know about your dog’s temperament, exercise and play needs, what may trigger anxiety or reactivity, what helps them feel safe and secure, and any other pertinent information you may have.

On-the-walk dog training

As a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Program, I can help with issues surrounding your dog’s behavior.

I am happy to support the training you have in place or are working on with your dog. I am happy to offer new ideas to further your training goals. I love enhancing the relationship between you and your pet through the positive rapport that is good training.

Safety and environment

I take your pet’s safety very seriously. I am careful to keep “escape artists” inside when coming to and leaving from your residence. When out on a walk, I keep your dog on-leash. In rare cases, I will take a dog off leash with your express permission and your dog’s strong response to recall. I am mindful of our surroundings and potential issues in the home and while walking your dog.
