Dog Walking Terms of Service

These Dog Walking Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to dog walking services provided by Diana Dog Care (“Diana Dog Care,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking or using our dog walking services, you (“Client” or “you”) agree to these Terms.

1. Dog Walking Services

Diana Dog Care provides dog walking services as agreed with Client. Service details, including walk frequency, approximate walk time, duration, number of dogs, and other care instructions, are based on the Dog Walking Intake Form and booking confirmations.

These Terms apply to the initial booking and future dog walking services unless either party ends the arrangement or different written terms are agreed.

Walk start times may vary due to traffic, weather, emergencies, or scheduling. Unless otherwise agreed, walks are on-leash only.

2. Client Information

Client is responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information needed to safely provide dog walking services.

Client must promptly notify Diana Dog Care of any material changes to information previously provided. If no changes are reported, Diana Dog Care may rely on the information provided for future bookings.

3. Health and Rabies Vaccination

Client represents that each dog is in suitable health for dog walking and is currently vaccinated against rabies.

Diana Dog Care may request verification of rabies vaccination or other information reasonably necessary to determine whether a dog can be safely walked.

4. Refusal, Suspension, or Termination

Diana Dog Care may refuse, suspend, or terminate services if:

  • information provided by Client is inaccurate, incomplete, or cannot be verified;
  • required vaccination cannot be verified;
  • conditions create a safety risk;
  • weather or environmental conditions are unsafe; or
  • a dog cannot be safely handled.

5. Veterinary Care

Client authorizes Diana Dog Care to seek veterinary care when reasonably necessary during a dog walk. Client is responsible for all veterinary and related expenses.

Any specific veterinary authorization or restrictions provided in the Dog Walking Intake Form will apply.

6. Behavior and Safety

Client is responsible for disclosing known behavior or safety issues that could affect the safe handling or walking of a dog.

Dog walking involves risks, including interactions with people or animals, vehicles, environmental hazards, illness, injury, and escape. Diana Dog Care may decline or discontinue a walk if, in its judgment, a dog cannot be safely handled.

7. Home Access and Security

Client authorizes Diana Dog Care to access the home as reasonably necessary to provide dog walking services.

Client is responsible for providing working keys, codes, or other access information and ensuring appropriate access to the home and dog at the scheduled time.

8. Walking Equipment

Client is responsible for providing properly fitted collars, harnesses, leashes, and other necessary equipment.

Diana Dog Care may decline to use equipment that appears unsafe, damaged, or improperly fitted.

9. Communication and Photos

Diana Dog Care may take photos of dogs during services and may use those photos for marketing and promotional purposes.

Client may opt out of marketing use of their dog’s photos by notifying Diana Dog Care in writing. Opting out of marketing use does not prevent Diana Dog Care from taking or sending photos for service-related communication.

10. Payment and Cancellation

Fees, payment timing, and cancellation terms are governed by Diana Dog Care’s current rates, policies, and applicable booking terms. By booking services, Client agrees to the rates and terms applicable to that booking.

11. Liability and Indemnification

Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Diana Dog Care from claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from the actions or health of Client’s dog(s), except to the extent caused by Diana Dog Care’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Nothing in these Terms waives any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.

12. California Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by California law. To the extent permitted by law, disputes arising from these Terms or services will be handled in Alameda County, California.

13. Agreement and Changes

These Terms, the Dog Walking Intake Form, and applicable booking terms constitute the agreement between Diana Dog Care and Client regarding dog walking services.

The Dog Walking Intake Form is incorporated into these Terms. Client is responsible for keeping the information provided in the intake form current.

Any changes to these Terms or other agreed service terms must be made in writing.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting the Dog Walking Intake Form with the required Terms acceptance, Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

Diana Dog Care may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms in effect when a booking is accepted will apply to that booking, unless otherwise required by law.
