Keeping your dog comfortable at home while you are away

Dogs are often more comfortable staying in their own environment. A familiar setting can reduce their stress and anxiety when you are away. I provide your dog’s regular feeding, walking, and play schedules to foster that feeling of comfort and familiarity of home.

Customized to your dog’s needs

I stay at your home with your dog and your guidance. I base my service on your dog’s individual needs:

• Regular feeding and exercise schedule
• Energy level and temperament
• Medical needs (for instance, giving oral or injected medicines)
• Anxiety or reactivity triggers

In addition to dog walking during my stay, I provide the play, affection, and enrichment your dog’s needs. This may include fetch and tug, puzzles and treat-hiding, and/or pets and cuddles.

Safety and environment

I take your pet’s safety very seriously. I am careful to keep “escape artists” inside when coming to and leaving from your residence. When out on a walk, I keep your dog on-leash. In rare cases, I will take a dog off leash with your express permission and your dog’s strong response to recall. I maintain awareness of our surroundings and potential issues in the home and when walking your dog.
